Patsy Collins is an Atlanta-based choreographer who was first introduced to movement through Irish dancing in her home city of Chicago. She went on to receive a degree in dance business from Emory University where she received the Alan Rackoff Prize for movement research, was a STIPE Fellow and a participant in the Civic Scholars Program.
Throughout her professional career she’s performed with companies including staibdance and Komansé Dance Theater, and in the past several years has had work presented by the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival, Dance Canvas at the Georgia Tech Ferst Center and the Aurora Theatre, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. In 2024 she presented her first-ever evening length work, "subzero" at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
Patsy is dedicated to creating innovative work that fuels answer-less questions and communal dialogue through a rigorously physical vocabulary.
